How to Instruct

We aim to make the instruction process straightforward and efficient.

Step 1 – Initial Enquiry

Contact us with brief details of the case and the issues on which expert evidence is required.

Step 2 – Suitability and Availability

We will confirm whether the matter falls within our expertise and whether an appropriate expert is available.

We do not publish individual expert profiles on the website as standard. This protects the professional privacy and personal data of our nursing experts and is in line with data protection principles. Instead, we will confirm the suitability of an appropriate NMC-registered nursing expert once the instruction has been reviewed. A CV for the proposed expert can be provided on request where appropriate.

Step 3 – Documentation

Please provide:

  • Letter of instruction

  • Case summary

  • Relevant records and documents

  • Questions to be addressed

  • Details of any deadlines

Step 4 – Fees and Terms

We will provide confirmation of fees, scope, and terms of engagement.

Step 5 – Report Preparation

Once instructed, the expert will review the material and prepare the report within the agreed timescale.
